adopt karl!

Over a year and a half ago, Karl was surrendered to ACCT Philadelphia with severe IVDD, leaving him paralyzed, incontinent, and in excruciating pain. Facing euthanasia, a dedicated foster stepped forward, giving us the chance to save him. Karl underwent life-saving spinal surgery and extensive medical care. He fought his way back. Today, he has regained about 90% of his mobility and is fully continent, an incredible transformation!

As Karl healed, his personality came through in full force. He is affectionate, goofy, and a total diva who wants to be the center of attention at all times. He loves snuggles, belly rubs, and relaxing with his favorite blanket, thriving in a calm, positive environment. However, he has shown consistent aggression toward other animals and has attempted to bite a child. Because of this, Karl must be placed in an adult-only, single-pet home with someone experienced and able to manage his environment appropriately. While he is incredibly loving with adults, he needs an experienced home that understands his boundaries.

Karl has overcome so much already. He just needs someone willing to see past his challenges and give him the chance he’s fought so hard for.
