Adopting a rescue dog changes two lives, theirs and yours. Our adoption process is designed to be thoughtful, supportive, and focused on finding the best possible match for both you and your new best friend.
Our goal is simple.

Because we are a foster based rescue, we know our dogs personally and take great care in making thoughtful matches that set both our dogs and adopters up for long-term success. Here's what you can expect.
Submit an Adoption Application
Start by completing our online adoption application. This gives us insight into your home, lifestyle, and what you’re looking for in a companion.
Application Review
Our team carefully reviews each application. We may reach out with follow-up questions, contact references including your veterinarian if applicable, and confirm housing requirements such as landlord approval.
Meet & Greet
If your application is approved, we’ll schedule a meet and greet with the dog at their foster home or at an arranged location. This allows you to interact with the dog in a relaxed environment and ask questions about personality, routines, and needs.
Home Check When Applicable
Some adoptions may require a brief home visit (virtual or in person). The purpose is to confirm a safe and appropriate setting based on the specific needs of the dog.
Adoption Approval & Contract
Once approved, you’ll complete an adoption contract and submit the adoption fee. Our adoption fees help cover veterinary care including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and microchipping when applicable.
Welcome Home!
We’ll provide guidance for a smooth transition and remain available for support. We care deeply about our adopters and our dogs, and we’re here even after adoption day.
A few important notes:
- Applications are processed in the order received, but we prioritize best fit over first come.
- Submitting an application does not guarantee adoption.
- Many of our dogs are in foster homes, so appointments are required to meet them.
- We reserve the right to decline an application if we feel it is not the right match.
